Today is the last day of summer. I hate that. I don't like colorful leaves, dry brown grass, or fall decorations that everyone gets carried away with. I don't like fall despite the holidays that come with it. Halloween and Thanksgiving are OK, but I like July 4 better. I think part of my dislike for fall is that school started in the fall, vacation travel ended, and the long cold dreary days of winter were getting closer. At least in the south we sometimes wear shorts at Christmas. And I wear flip flops all year. I hate to see the Summer season end.
